Hello
all!
Well, Whitesnake is taking a break for a while. There is talk of us getting
back together around April. I talk to Kip once a week, and he is in Turkey
writing with this amazing artist. He played me some of the stuff and it is
very cool. I am sending them my ideas, so who knows! It could be the
beginnings of a new Winger record. He and I are talking about possibly doing
some acoustic gigs in January, so I will keep you posted on that.
I am still in negotiations with a few companies about my next solo record,
and I love the way that is coming together. I am writing a lot with the
acoustic, and I have come up with a sound I really like for the next record.
Some of you will be happy to know that I am putting the Reb Beach Project
back together! I think I will loose “ The” and “ Project” from that title and
just call it Reb Beach, as per someone’s suggestion. We are booked at Tilt’s
pub in Gibsonia (724-443-5211) on November 29th, and the Pirates Cove
(412-767-5778) on December 19th. I will keep you updated on the bookings on
the forum. I have an agent who is booking us in Cleveland, Akron, and West
Virginia. We may also do some colleges around the area. We will do more
eighties stuff this time around. I have added some Whitesnake tunes to the
set list, along with Dokken and Winger songs.
I did a great interview with Guitar One magazine, so keep your eyes out for
that. Should be a full page. I also just played on an Ac/Dc tribute record. I
played on the song Problem Child, and it came out really cool.

Former WINGER and current WHITESNAKE guitarist Reb Beach will be teaming
up with ex-QUIET RIOT bassist Rudy Sarzo in a brand-new as-yet-unnamed
project. "We are talking with singers now, and hope to go out as early
as December," Beach revealed in an online posting. "We are considering
Aynsley Dunbar [ex-UFO, WHITESNAKE, MSG] and Carmine Appice [VANILLA FUDGE,
ex-OZZY OSBOURNE, BLUE MURDER], or Rudy's guy Frankie [Banali, W.A.S.P.,
ex-QUIET RIOT] for the drums, and I put in a call to Joe Lynn Turner [ex-RAINBOW,
DEEP PURPLE] today. So, I am excited about that." No further information
is available at this time.

Hi
guys,
We had a day off in West Palm a few weeks ago. We were right on the beach,
and I guess it is my last name for a reason, because I love the ocean. At
night I went out on the beach and sat on a dune and smoked, while looking at
the full moon casting sparkly light on the water. I was cranking tunes in my
ipod just totally relaxing when this madman comes running down the beach in
my direction. We were alone on the beach, yet he is screaming " Party!!
Yeah Party!!" He stopped fifty feet away from me, and tore all his close
off. He then ran towards the water, continuing to scream, with his dinghus
bouncing in the moonlight. I watched as he frolicked in the water by himself,
almost as if he were accompanied by the Bud Lite girls. The current was
really strong, and it took about 15 minutes for him to drift a half a
football field away. I noticed a nice family coming on to the beach, and
walking towards him. He came out of the water like a bald pink sea monster,
running like someone who had to pee really bad. He had one hand over his
genitals and one hand over his ass, as he ran right up to the horrified
little family. " Have you seen any clothes around here??" he
croaked. What made me laugh was when the mother slapped her hand over the
little girls eyes and the little girl kept trying to beat them away so she
could see. After watching him suffer a little, I yelled to him " Hey
dude, your stuff is over here!" He ran over to me and I recognized him
as one of our crew. " Thanks alot man" he said. Then he yelled as
he was fumbling with his pants " Hey I work for Whitesnake! I can get
you backstage man!!!"

Munich
is so beautiful. I love it here. The food is AMAZING. Big white sausages on
fresh bagettes. I walked into this square with the biggest church I have ever
seen. I mean, you just stand under this thing and go Holy CRAP! It is like
five 747 airplane hangers and must be 800 yards high (I can only measure big
things using football fields) There was a guy in the square on a giant uni
cycle, and everyone is gorgeous with chiseled faces. There were lovers in the
park making out on blankets, and hundreds of places to drink fabulous fresh
beer outdoors. Cafes and bars are everywhere. One was like half a football
field of people eating and drinking outdoors. There was a giant bar in the
middle of one square that was physically pulling me toward it. I had to fight
to stay away, as we are playing tonight. Tomorrow we are in Vienna, which is
very beautiful. I once got lost when someone there told me to follow the
signs that said "eihn farhte" or "eign strabe" or
something, which turned out to mean " One Way" I am sure the guy
had a laugh. Anyway, gotta go to soundcheck now. See ya!

I'm back for a few days
Hey Guys,
I'm back home for a few days, and it is so good to be here. We worked really hard on the tunes, and the music sounds so tight. Doug is on fire. He sounds EXACTLY like Sykes. Sometimes, while listening to the rhythms on the tape I have, I can't tell if it is him or me. We were made for each other. The whole band gets along really well. So you are in for a great show. I'll spend the next few days getting ready for the tour. I have to buy a new suitcase, as mine decided to come apart in front of 300 people waiting in line outside the airport. These were people that had nothing better to do than entertain themselves by wacthing me wrestle with an eighty pound bag that wouldn't close. I am sure I looked like the ape in the Samsonite commercial, but with a serious hang over." What do you suppose he's gonna do now, Margaret?" I heard somebody say. Luckily Walter the cab driver had some bungy cords. I also need a new laptop. It fell out of the suitcase. It sucked anyway, and it didn't owe me anything.
I spoke to Don Dokken yesterday, and he is really exited about the tour. I think it will be cool to watch someone play a song that I wrote. I can't wait to have a beer with Wild Mick. This is going to be so much fun!!!!! See Y'all soon.

Life in LA

Hi everyone,
Firstly, I don't think I've ever been in a band where rehearsals sounded so good right from the git go. Everyone did their homework, and everyone shines at the right time. We've only rehearsed for five days, and the stuff is about ready to go, with lot's of surprises in the arangements, courtesy of David and a band whose first barbeque it ain't..
Secondly,we are getting along famously. David is very gracious, and easy to work with. His voice gives me chills. Doug is on fire, and killing me with his licks and his tone. Tommy is just a bad ass on the drums, and so funny that we spend a great deal of time laughing at work. Timothy is also really funny, and is so great at getting sounds that aren't wimpy, and blend well with the guitars. It sounds like a rock orchestra sometimes! He is also great at the 70's organ parts. Marco and I are locked together on stage left. We sing together, and he is such a superior musician. Very inspiring guy. I am going to see his amazing jazz band on Tuesday.
Lastly, it is so nice to be back in La to visit. I am seeing old friends and new ones. I talked to Slash and Duff for awhile yesterday. We got really drunk together at the American Music Awards about 12 years ago. I also talked to Pat Torpey today, which was great. I may go over and jam with him on the day off. I also met the Foo Fighters the other day, and what a nice, talented bunch of guys they are. Anyway, things are going GREAT! I hate this laptop. My hand is going to fall off. See ya soon!

Reb has posted the following message on his official web site;
"Well, friends... I finally got the WHITESNAKE gig. It is no secret
that I have been pursuing David for a long time, as WHITESNAKE's music
runs through my veins. The time has come for me to get out there and kick
some ass!
Just the thought of going on this world tour with this spectacular band
makes me so happy!
I've heard from a lot of WINGER fans asking if this is the end for WINGER.
Kip and all the guys in WINGER are my closest friends, and I don't think
there will ever be an end to us writing and recording together. I'm sure
there will be some down time in the next six months where I could shoot
over to Kip's and write. I'm not sure of David's plans for a record, but
I have some ideas for him, as well. For now, I am concentrating on the
live thing, and the show David has in mind is really something. The song
list is jaw dropping! I had forgotten how many great songs there are.
"I'm looking forward to seeing the DOKKEN boys again! DOKKEN is opening
the WHITESNAKE/SCORPS tour, and I have done lots of shows with the SCORPS,
so I will be amongst friends! I look forward to meeting you all on the
road again, and I wish you a prosperous and exciting New Year!"

これから6か月はキップのところにいって、曲を書くってことはできないと思うけどね。アルバムのDavidのプランはわからないけど、いくつかのアイディアが彼のためにもある。今はライブに集中するつもりだ。Davidの心にあるものがとってもすごいってことをみせなくっちゃね。セットリストはびっくりするものだよ。こんなにも素晴らしい曲が一杯あったってことを忘れていたよ。
Dokkenのみんなにも会えるのが楽しみだ！ドッケンはホワイトスネイクとスコーピオンズのオープニングを務めるんだ。
スコーピオンズとは沢山ライブをしたことがある。友達に囲まれているようなものだね！みんなにもライブで会えるのを楽しみにしているよ。
