"I released the demos as proof that nothing was changed in the studio
when we re-recorded the music" explains Kip
"This collection exemplifies the idea that sometimes you can't 'beat
the demo' when re-recording the music.
Of course having Rod made the albums more real but some of the tracks suffered
because the initial fire didn't get recreated
- and for that reason after 'PULL' I quit making demos.
'Hour Of Need' ...became 'In My Veins' because I didn't feel it was exactly what I was initially hearing -
so we rewrote it in L.A whilst waiting for Mike Shipley to get back from Australia."

The new album title is "THE PURPLE ALBUM"

Rock icons Whitesnake are set to return with their 12th studio album this
spring.
The Purple Album will be released in North America on May 19th via Frontiers
Music SRL.
The Purple Album is a re-imagination of classic songs from David Coverdale’s time as the lead singer for
Deep Purple’s Mark 3 and Mark 4 studio albums.
The album is currently available for pre-order on Amazon in a deluxe edition format featuring 2 bonus tracks,
4 music videos and a Behind The Scenes featurette on the recording of the album.
A standard edition and a double LP vinyl format will be available in the near future.
Plans are also underway for a special limited box set edition with memorabilia
and merchandise.

Hello Everyone!
I just wanted to wish everyone here at the forum a fantastic 2015!
My year was the busiest since back in the eighties.
I have been basically living with David Coverdale for the last six months,
and we are hoping that the new record will be as satisfying to you all as it is to us.
It's heavy, it's catchy, and it's got everything you would want in a baddass rock record.
I'm sure we will be touring to support the record next year,
so yet again I will have a chance to see the Whitesnake fans from this
forum
who have stuck by me these many years.
Until David needs me to tour, I will be going out on weekends with Winger in the states and South America,
and finally finishing my instrumental record, which I have been tweaking for the last two weeks.
So cheers everyone, and may you have a great new year!!! It sure seems like I will!!
