Rosenthal (Key/Rainbow) back in 1986.
This album was recorded in 1986 /87, but it was never released at that

元ディープ・パープル第３期のヴォーカリストのデヴィッド・カヴァデールが1977年に結成したイギリスのハードロックバンド。 ディープ・パープルのジョン・ロード（Key）やイアン・ペイス（Ds）も初期には在籍していた。ブルースをルーツにしたハードロックを持ち味に、バーニー・マースデン、ミッキー・ムーディのツイン･ギターのスタイルで78年にアルバム『トラブル』（①）でデビュー。1979年に『ラヴ・ハンター』（②）をリリース、そして3rdアルバム『フール・フォー・ユア・ラヴィング（原題：Reary And Willing)』（1980年）がスマッシュ・ヒットし日本でも人気を決定付けた。
その後80年代に入って『カム・アンド・ゲット・イット』（④）（81年）、『セインツ・アンド・シナーズ』（⑤）(82年)とリリースを重ね、アメリカン・マーケットへの意識を感じさせる『スライド・イット・イン』（⑥）を1984年にリリース。見事にこの作品がプラチナディスクとなった。メンバーも、コージー・パウエル（Ds）、ジョン・サイクス（G）が参加するなど、動きを見せる。 1987年には、名手エイドリアン・ヴァンデンバーグ（G）も参加した『ホワイトスネイク1987（白蛇の紋章／サーペンス・アルバス）』（⑦）をリリース。｢ヒア･アイ･ゴー･アゲイン｣などのヒット曲を産み出し、全世界中で大ブレイクを迎えた。さらにスティーヴ・ヴァイ（G）、トミー・アルドリッチ（Ds）、ルディ・サーゾ（F）を迎え、89年には「スリップ・オブ・ザ・タング」（⑧）をリリース。まさに唯一不動のカヴァデールを中心に名だたる豪華ミュージシャンが次々参加したスーパー・グループ。バンドは、1990年にグレイテスト・ヒッツをリリースして、活動を休止するも、97年には、デヴィッド・カヴァーデイル＆ホワイトスネイク名義で『レストレス・ハート』（⑨）をリリース。またアンプラグドでのライヴ・イン・ジャパンも発売となった。2003年には再結成、2006年5月には全国9ヶ所での来日公演ツアー行った。2007年にワーナーミュージック・ジャパンと契約し、ベストな選曲でキャリアを綴った最新・最強のライヴ・アルバムに、新曲が4曲収録した2枚組CD『グレイテスト・ヒッツ・ライヴ＋4 NEW SONGS』を、2008年に10枚目のスタジオ・アルバム『グッド・トゥ・ビー・バッド』を発売し、完全復活を遂げた。 2011年、デイヴィッド・カヴァデール、ダグ・アルドリッチ、レブ・ビーチの3人に加え、オジー・オズボーンとの共演でも知られるドラマー、ブライアン・ティッシーとリンチ・モブやケニー・ウェイン・シェパードのバンドでプレイをしていたベーシストのマイケル・デヴィンを新たに迎えた新ラインアップにより『フォーエヴァー・モア』を発表し、再び精力的にワールドツアーを行っている。

"1969年にカナダはトロントで産まれる。18歳の頃からヴォーカリストを目指してレッスンに励んだ後、バンド活動をスタートする。
POWERDRIVE、CITYHOOD、RAPID TEARS、SLAM SAVYといったローカル・バンドで活動をした後、1992年にZERO
DICIPLINEなるバンドに加入。 このバンドで活動を続ける中で旧知の中だったVON
GROOVEのムラデンの協力を得て、曲創りなどを進めて行く。 その結果、ZERO DICIPLINEはMORATTIと名を替え、1995年にデビュー・アルバム「DESOLUTION」を発表、
1997年には2ndアルバム「LEGENDS OF TOMORROW」を発表し、その卓越したヴォーカリストとしての実力を知らしめる。
その後、ロブはムラデンとのプロジェクトFINAL FRONTIERを始動。2002年にデビュー・アルバム「THE FIRST WAVE」を発表する。 80年代テイストをふんだんに散りばめたメロディアス・ハード・ロック作品となったアルバムは高い評価を受け、 2006年までに合計4枚のアルバムを発表する。その間、SURVIVORのジミ・ジェイミソンとの共演や、 NORTHERN LIGHTの作品にゲスト・シンガーとして参加。ヴォーカリストとしての知名度も徐々に上げて行く。 そしてFINAL FRONTIERの活動が一段落した頃、2008年にSAGAに加入。アルバム「THE HUMAN CONDITION」の他、 ライヴ・アルバム「HEADS OF TALES LIVE」に参加し、2011年に脱退する。

JUNE 12, 2011 - Update from Reb on REBBEACH.COM
Dear all, Well it seems things are picking up around here since I went back on the road last month with the new Whitesnake line up. We did a few big festivals in the States like M3 in Baltimore, and Rocklahoma in Philadelphia... just kidding!
They were really fun because I got to see some of my old friends from the eighties. Robert Mason kicks *** in Warrant, by the way. Then it was off to Russia and Scandinavia, and here I am, popping in to Newcastle, England, getting ready for a pint with our Webmaster Matt Sefton. God, I sound British and I have only been here for a day!
The shows have been particularly exciting. David is singing like NEVER before. I swear he sounds just like he did all those years ago in Purple. The new drummer, Brian Tichy, is a big highlight of the show, doing things in his solo I have never seen anyone do before. Michael Devin and I have become fast friends, which seems to always happen when you work so closely with someone on the stage. We are always cueing each other and laughing at each other's mistakes. Brian Ruedy is the new keyboardist, and his name is also Brian, so I just call him Rude, which is the farthest thing from the truth, but it's kind of a rock name. He is a really sweet guy.
We did Sweden Rock with Ozzy and Mr. Big, and a huge host of others. It was great to be on the GINORMOUS stage again, ego ramp and all. It's like letting your dog loose in the park. I just love running with a guitar. That's pretty much all you have to do to get the attention of 40,000 drunk people. "Look - that guy's running!" I also got to meet Whitesnake alumnus Bernie Marsden, who was a GREAT guy. Man, the stories he told. He jammed with us on a few tunes along with Adrian Vandenberg, so that was a treat for everyone. It was so cool hearing the way it really should be played. Kind of like when I jammed Sweet Home Alabama with Artimus Pyle.
In Moscow, we stayed at the Ritz in Red Square. I think it's the most expensive hotel in the world. It was 25 dollars for a bowl of soup. I opted not to have the "Czar breakfast" for 5000 dollars! It would be like eating a Les Paul. I don't like caviar for breakfast, anyway.
So I imagine we will play all the same places we played two years ago, and that makes my plate pretty full for the rest of the year. I did manage to write and record seven songs for my instrumental record. It only took me a year! I guess I still need Kip Winger's lash to get anything done musically.
So feel free to stop by the forum, and I look forward to seeing you all as I travel the road in my eighth year as "A Snake!"
